01 / THE BEGINNING

Learning to recognize potential.

Bernard grew up without a father and learned early what it meant to move forward without a safety net.

Mentors helped him recognize possibilities in himself, and their example shaped his commitment to investing in other people.

That is part of what draws him to developing talent. Someone may have ability long before they have the confidence, preparation, or relationships to use it well. Helping close that distance has been the thread through his work ever since.

02 / THE MUSIC BUSINESS

Finding talent. Building what surrounds it.

Bernard’s career began in entertainment, across artist and repertoire, creative media, production, marketing, and national product launches.

He was a co-founding partner of the Consortium, an artist management firm built with Stan Moress, Mike Martinovich, and Al Schiltz. That partnership played a crucial role in launching Broken Bow Records and its imprint label. As director of A&R, Bernard was instrumental in signing Jason Aldean.

His consulting has served record labels, broadband networks, major artists, large corporations, state tourism boards, and specialty venues, including the Mall of America, Simon Mall properties, Dave & Buster’s, and Marriott Hotels. He has also appeared as an entertainment expert on NBC’s Emmy Award-winning daytime series Starting Over.

03 / THE COMPANIES

From one industry to many.

Bernard went on to build PCG Universal, a group spanning a record label, management, artist development, theatrical development, digital media, and online education.

The lessons carried beyond music. PCG Technologies took the marketing systems built for artists and brought them to insurance and financial professionals, and his ventures now reach into aviation, finance, and hospitality.

Across all of it he keeps returning to the same practical questions. What are we trying to build? Who needs to be part of it? What will it require of us? And will we be proud of how we did it?

04 / WHAT MATTERS MOST

The greatest legacy is personal.

Christian faith and family are central to Bernard’s life. Gratitude, integrity, humility, and service shape the way he leads.

He is also the owner and caretaker of the Porterhouse1833 Historical Landmark, a daily reminder that some things are entrusted to us to preserve and pass on.

Those convictions run through The Divine Code, where he explores how the posture of the heart prepares us to recognize opportunity and carry responsibility well.

05 / PASSING IT FORWARD

Making room for what experience teaches.

Through The Beacon Podcast, speaking, mentoring, and writing, Bernard makes space for the lessons people earn through experience. An honest conversation can help someone reconsider a decision, recognize a possibility, or find the courage to begin.

Legacy takes shape in those moments. It lives in the people we encourage, the standards we uphold, and the care we bring to what is already in our hands.

WHAT ARE YOU BUILDING NEXT?
